Himalaya's Climate Change Weather Data Falsely Reported - President Obama Likes This Evidence

Where is this indisputable evidence President Obama mentioned in his State of the Union address? Much of the so called evidence has been changed to promote global warming. Another report on climate change has come up lacking on credibility.

A Himalaya Mountain Range temperature reading was too high but was readily corrected. Some of these weather temperature reports are actual mistakes, while some others are outright lies. The problem is that whether they are mistakes or lies, when temperature data is incorrect, it has the same disastrous results.

More Money for Climate Change on False Information

President Obama is giving away millions of dollars for climate change research. This is money that is desperately needed for the economy to help hurting people. Obama is not very observant about the weather so he takes information like reported on the Himalaya's and runs with it.

One of the most prized reports of the global warmers was the famous "Hockey Stick Graph." The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, also known as the IPCC, proudly flaunted this graph. The graph showed a steady warming of our good old planet earth. But guess what happened? The information the IPCC used on increasing CO2 amounts was also not credible.

Again, the estimates when the graph was made may have been an honest mistake. It does not matter. People in powerful positions are making earth shattering decisions on this wrong information. And to add insult to injury - temperature data from other sources have been lied about.

Case In Point

Emails from scientists have proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that fraud has been committed by changing temperature readings. Can our leaders just look out the window and see the weather? Sometimes you do not need a scientist or meteorologist to tell you there is cold weather or hot weather. Just observe. Feel it. Climate change is cyclical.

It does not matter that Obama was in freezing weather in Copenhagen, Denmark during the "global warming" conference. Or that he came back to Washington D.C. in a snow storm and again freezing temperatures. Then three weeks later a winter storm with record breaking temperatures. And now more of the same. Cold weather is consistent during winter just like hot weather is during summer.

The winter storms have been cold, long and deadly across much of the globe - not just the United States.

We are having global freezing right now. Many scientists also believe the earth is entering, or has already entered, a global cooling trend. But you know something? People that have an agenda will not CHANGE even if the evidence is right in front of them. The false data on the Himalaya's should cause any reasonable human being to seriously question global warming.

How About This?

Get the news about the weather. All someone has to do is watch The Weather Channel. Simple. One of my favorite sayings is "Common Sense Is Not So Common."

The Stimulus Plan - Is it Working?

Many billions of dollars have been spent as part of the multi-billion dollar stimulus plan enacted by Congress last year. There have been countless news articles about projects the money was spent on, but my observation was that a lot of those were projects that were started before the economic meltdown occurred and getting information about new projects that may offer new jobs is difficult to impossible. Aside from a few road signs that "This project funded by..." there have been few indicators that the stimulus plan is actually working. General Motors and Chrysler still declared bankruptcy, unemployment is still high, big banks are still sitting on tax dollars they were bailed out with.

So, the question is "Where has all that money gone?" A search for stimulus fund projects on the internet returns very little information other than wishes and a search in a state's website does not return any usable information about where new jobs may be.

One thing that has become clear is that most of the people we elected to Congress are not interested in the best interest of our country. The deficit continues to grow, and our congressional leaders continue to blame somebody else, usually the last administration of the other party. There is no bipartisan support for programs that will end the recession, improve the quality of life or eliminate the deficit. Our elected leaders are too busy telling us what we need to listen to our opinions about what we need.

If the country were run like a corporation, most of our leaders would have been fired for incompetence by now. Our Congress is made up of people who are not our good friends, not our good neighbors and we are not in good hands. We are gradually losing the freedoms this country was founded upon to our own government.

This mess is probably the fault of the average voter because we can see where the problems lie, but we continue to vote for the same people over and over again. But in our own defense, most of us are too busy trying to survive to be able to pay close attention to the people running our country.

While the problems with the economy are too big and cost too much for a lot of us to even comprehend, a common sense approach might reveal some solutions that are workable. The real problem is that some of them may take more guts than are available in the congressional offices.

The most important thing that could happen in Congress is for the blame game to stop. We have serious problems with the economy. Foreign investors are taking over a lot of major industries and buying up a lot of real estate. Our congressional leaders must stop blaming past administrations and come up with some real solutions. These problems did not happen overnight or in the last four years. They have been around for at least a generation, regardless of which party controls the white house or congress.

The second most important thing that needs to happen is probably an attitude change. We don't need more economic programs. We need to fix the programs we already have and Congress needs to stop raiding the entitlement programs to fund new programs and stop loading up new programs with special interest amendments and set asides that add billions to otherwise good programs. We don't need to fix a neighborhood pool or build a multi-million dollar bridge to nowhere.

We have serious problems and we need serious people to work on those problems. Our elected officials at all levels of government are put in office because we believe they are serious people. Sometimes they need prodding to get things done in an acceptable manner.

As the taxpayers, we have a responsibility to make sure that the people we elect to govern us know that they are elected and should pay attention to our opinions. I encourage everyone to stay in touch with your local congressional offices, attend city or town council meetings and get involved. Only through involvement will any real meaningful change take place.

Our Country is Exceptional, That's Why the Economy Will Recover

We pre-boomers grew up in a time when there was no doubt that this country was the world leader in virtually everything we could think of. Our generation was born between 1930 and 1945, so we saw results of what a united people are capable of doing. Rising from the ashes of the Great Depression, being drawn into fighting wars on two fronts and the launch of the post-war boom were just the beginning. During the next 50 years, more than any country in the world, we invented more products, our workers produced more goods and our government did more to improve the quality of life at home and abroad.

This was not an accident. America was always exceptional. From the time the early settlers arrived on our shores through the colonists' fight for freedom to the war on slavery and our joining in WWI, the citizens believed in doing what is right rather than what is easy. If others suffered, we suffered with them and tried to right the wrong, without regard for what dissenters might think or say.

The same kind of attitude prevailed in our nation's businesses, both large and small. A good idea became a great idea when people got excited and applied American ingenuity and old-fashioned hard work to make the dream come true. Our generation saw the advent of frozen food including pizza, television followed by TV dinners, jet travel, fast food restaurants, a man on the moon spawned Tang in several flavors as well as satellites, copying and answering machines, pagers, cell phones, personal computers and all the hi-tech gear that followed, plus much more.

Most of these inventions changed our lives forever and continue to prompt change as they inspire an ongoing flood of new and improved products vying for the consumer's attention - many of which will make our quality of life somewhat better, and all of them are designed to make money for the individuals and companies involved in bringing these products to the marketplace, here and around the world. America has always provided an atmosphere for creativity and we have shown the world how to market goods and services. So, while there's cheap labor available in other parts of the world, we are the ones with the ideas, build the initial products and provide the marketing capabilities to establish brands worldwide.

Because America creates what others eventually copy, we must continue to innovate in areas such as energy, food and pharmaceuticals for the world. The need to innovate applies to more than business ventures. Our educational system is in great need of help. Just as we test market products, it is vital to try then perfect new ways to better educate our children and prepare them for the changing world they will face. America's health care system needs to be studied and revamped to attend the needs of the aging citizens and to make it affordable to our younger population.

America's exceptionalism will be challenged in the years ahead. We must not let this happen from within. Instead, we have to view the problems facing us lemons and make some lemonade. That's the American way.

Forget About Politics, Give Us Real Health Care Reform

The subject of health care reform has been a big issue in Washington and the news media for the past year. Citizens jumped into the fray, for the most part uninvited, when it became apparent that our elected representatives were botching the process. Town hall meetings, rallies and protest marches sent a message to legislators that they were out of step, if not out of touch with mainstream Americans. Recent election results from Massachusetts indicates the will of the people is something politicians shouldn't ignore.

Democrats cannot write bills behind closed doors and try to jam legislation through based on their current power in Washington. By the same token, Republican have got to stop hiding in the weeds and taking shots at everything the opposing party does. Rather, it's time to go back to the peoples' business. This means agreeing that the health care system needs to undergo significant change over an extended period of time but in a common-sense, fiscally-responsible, bi-partisan manner. Otherwise, the finger pointing and bickering in Washington will spell the end of the careers for many politicians.

It's not rocket science. Health insurance costs continue to climb. Too many Americans are without coverage. Waste, fraud and abuse abounds within the system. The problems can't be addressed or fixed all at once. So, let's agree that health care is going to be studied immediately and adjusted over time with the goal being coverage we can afford and quality of care second to none. We can figure out how to make this work, but do the politicians, the insurance companies and the medical organizations must come together, forget their own agendas and start considering what's best for the citizens of this country?

As part of the pre-boomer generation (those born between 1930 and 1945), I remember how people from all walks of life came together and fought our enemies in World War II. Folks forgot about labels. We weren't Democrats or Republicans we were Americans pulling together in a common cause. If addressed honestly, health care can be something that unites rather than divides us.

Remember, health care accounts for about a sixth of our economy. This is a real concern when combined with a deficit beyond belief, out-of-control government spending and a double-digit unemployment rate that just won't go day. On top of this, there are more spending plans waiting to be introduced in Congress. The only thing to do is to stop Washington from doing what it's been doing or we're going to keep getting what we've been getting. Translated, this means no new spending. Prioritize the country's need. And re-evaluate where our money is going now and where it needs to go in the future.

At the same time, businesses around the country need to join in the fight to keep America afloat and bring it back to the land of opportunity. This requires the best minds we have focusing on what they know best to get the job done. By applying this same kind of discipline to health care reform, we will undoubtedly end up with something that meets the needs of each individual American. And, that's good for all of us.

Terrorism Remains a Political Issue For 2010 Elections

President Barrack Obama and his cadre of supporters are finding their worst nightmare coming true: the global war on terror is not going away.

The bad news for President Obama and the Democrats as the 2010 mid-term elections are not far away, and national security is gaining strength as a primary campaign issue, and one that will help Republicans.

This could force Democrats to defend their long-held belief that terrorism is more of a criminal justice issue than a military one. Republicans see it differently - they view the bad guys as military combatants, believe they should be treated as enemy soldiers, and processed through the military justice system.

President Obama established a new tone toward terrorism early in his Administration by quickly signaling that the U.S. would not use the term "global war on terror".

The President also gave an "all clear" signal to the Justice Department to investigate, and seek criminal prosecutions against, Bush Administration lawyers for legal advice they gave relative to enhance interrogation methods against terrorists in the aftermath of 9-11. This sent shivers up and down CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

He kept his pledge to close the Guantanamo Detention Camp located in the southeast corner of Cuba - and plans to bring those terrorists to a federal facility in southern Illinois.

However, terrorism resurfaced in November with a shooting attack at a military base in Fort Hood, Texas. The public was alarmed when the Obama Administration - including the FBI - would not acknowledge the shootings as an act of terror, despite the attack resulting in 13 dead and 31 wounded.

On Christmas Day came yet another terrorist act, in an attempted bombing by a Nigerian man, with al-Qaida connections and training, of a commercial airliner headed for Detroit, Michigan.

While the attack failed - the Obama Administration once again bungled the aftermath. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano pronounced, "the system worked" in describing the near-miss attack which would have killed everyone on board the Northwest jet airliner.

During this time President Obama remained silent for three days- only to finally call the attacker "an isolated extremist" - despite the fact that he had been recruited and trained by al-Qaida in Yemen specifically for the Christmas Day bombing attempt.

Once arrested, he was placed in the criminal justice system where he was afforded a lawyer who immediately advised his client to stop co-operating with authorities. Thus, the U.S. lost any chance of gleaning intelligence from the terrorist about other al-Qaida sponsored attacks.

Meanwhile, John Brennan, Assistant to the President, Homeland Security, told Fox News Sunday that no one in authority within the government had been signaled that the Nigerian man was a potential terrorist threat. "There was no smoking gun. No piece of intelligence that said this guy's a terrorist. He's going to get on a plane. No, not whatsoever", he said.

That was not true as the man's own father reportedly warned U.S. officials that his son was someone who needed to be watched closely. President Obama has said they "screwed up" and that authorities had plenty of information to uncover the plot before it ever got off the ground.

The public did not have the patience for the all-out assault against terrorism that punctuated the Bush years - but the fact remains the country was kept safe for seven years following the horrific events of September 11.

People are nervous about that record continuing under President Obama.

Obama's Approval Ratings - He Doesn't Care
Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 12:57 AM - General

A recent AP-Gfk poll showed that Obama's approval ratings were dropping. Of course, the mass media and all of its talking heads thinks this is news. In this day in age when news has become entertainment, they have to sensationalize everything. There's nothing new, exciting, sensation or surprising about this drop in approval ratings. Obama knew it would happen. His advisors knew it would happen. His administration knew it would happen. The Democrats and Republicans knew it would happen. Pretty much every political analyst out there knew it would happen, even the ones who pretended to be shocked and awed on television.

Obama had a high approval rating when he first got elected, of course because of the historic and inspirational nature of the event. But then the world went back to real life where the economy is still bad, and it's going to take a while to recover. The euphoria of the inspirational event has passed, and now we are confronted with reality. Obama knew that when he got elected. And he knows it will probably drop even further. Of course, his team is going to try to manage it as best as possible. But it will probably never rise to the level it once did. That's okay though because it was pretty high to begin with.

President Obama's high approval ratings meant that he had enough political capital to do a lot in his first 100 days, and he did. He is continuing to do so. The reason he is trying to pass the Health Care Reform package quickly through Congress is because he needs to capitalize in his still good approval ratings to get this through, or he might not get another chance. Also, he needs to do it early, because most Americans are against it, even the ones who voted for him. Just like most things, President Obama is counting on the fact that, after he passes this bill that not many Americans like, they will forget it in 2 years when the next election cycle rolls through.

All the stuff that most Americans don't want, like this Health Care Reform bill, President Obama will try to pass now and take his hit in approval ratings while they are still high and he has time to recover. But looking at how long it's taking for the economy to recover, his approval ratings might continue to go down and may not recover, so Presiden Obama has to do what he's going to do now. Again, it's clear that the Health Care Reform Bill is not popular with the public and it's the local, state and congressional officials who will suffer for it in the mid-term elections. Democrat congressmen and senators, governors and other state officials who are up during the mid-term elections will be the sacrificial lambs for the Obama Administrations agenda to push unpopular bills like health care reform and other liberal, socialist-leaning policies.

For the sacrifice, Obama will get his liberal and socialist-leaning bills passed at the expense of his party loyalists and win the loyalty of liberal power brokers, lobbyists and the like in Washington as well as abroad. I'm sure this is what the political consulting firms are telling him anyways.
